Anaís stepped out of the humid Mexican morning into the bright sunlight, her pigtails bouncing with each step. Her hazel eyes sparkled as she gazed up at the imposing wall separating her from the US. She had come here many times before to buy tacos from the cart in front of it, run by a friendly old man named Luis.

As she approached the cart, Anaís couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Today was different than any other day - today was the day she would try out her new outfit.
