Mrs. Nakamura stood at the edge of Lake Kawaguchi, gazing up at the majestic silhouette of Mount Fuji. Her eyes, once bright and full of life, now seemed dull and tired behind her wire-rimmed glasses. At 70 years old, Mrs. Nakamura was no stranger to hardship and loss.
